Kishmish rises on fall in supply

NEW DELHI, May 23:  Kishmish prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today following increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers amidst low stocks following fall in supplies from producing areas.
Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices were up by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 4,600-5,600 and Rs 9,100-10,100 per 40 kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers amid fall in supplies from producing areas mainly pushed up kishmish prices at the dry fruit market here.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 22,100, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,300-8,400; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,200-6,300; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-25,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 765-785 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 650-750 per kg. (PTI)
