KISHTWAR, July 10: The crucial Kishtwar to Paddar road was today successfully reopened after the clearance of landslide debris at Pathernaki Point of Nagseni.
To ensure safety at the newly cleared road, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav himself drove his vehicle to check the track.
Previous day, Dr. Yadav had visited the landslide hit area at Pathernaki Point in Nagseni and oversaw the road clearance work throughout the day.
The DC Kishtwar was accompanied by SDM Paddar, Amit Kumar; DDC Paddar, Hari Krishan Chouhan; Tehsildar Nagseni, Rafie Naik and project authorities.
The combined efforts of the District Administration, Police, GREF and Hydroelectric Power Projects in the area have resulted in the successful reopening of the road at Pathernaki slide point this morning as the road for light vehicles has been restored thereby re-establishing connectivity to Paddar Sub Division.
Pilgrims and stranded individuals were now able to cross and essential commodities have also been supplied to Padder after the road reopening.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Yadav has expressed appreciation for the patience of the people and the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved in the critical operation.
