Kissan Sangh seeks seeds for farmers

JAMMU, Dec 28: Bhartiya Kissan Sangh (BKS), J&K unit, president Subash Chander Dasgotra has alleged that the farmers have been denied seeds this crop season in majority of the areas as used to be the case earlier.
He appealed to the Agriculture Department to look into the matter and undertake survey of rural areas to ensure that all farmers get seeds so that they didn’t have to suffer in future.
Dasgotra alleged that the agricultural schemes were not reaching to the farmers as the Department was holding very few camps. He said that the farmers have been given very less rates for paddy while the middlemen had earned a lot.
He called for revival of Cooperative sector to give boost to the farming activity.
Others who attended the meeting were Krishan Singh, Ranbir Singh, Girdhari Lal, Choudhary Pritam and Sham Lal.
