JAMMU, Feb 15: A meeting of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Mahasabha (KKHM) was held today in Jammu under the chairmanship of its president Ramesh Chander Mahajan and it discussed various burning issue of Kashmiri migrants and urged the UT and Central Government to fulfill the pending grievances of Kashmiri migrant relief holders including PM Package employees .
The meeting demanded enhancement of monthly cash relief to relief holders, grant of special financial package to the Kashmiri migrants under mission youth initiative programme who crossed age limit of 40 years and its benefit should be given upto 55 years to avail benefits for starting up the businesses and entrepreneurship and declaration of ( Haerath) Maha Shivratri holy festival as five days Gazetted holiday including three days be granted as special leaves in every year as Maha Shivratri is most important festival of the Kashmir Valley celebrated by entire Kashmiri Hindu community with religion fervour and gaiety from centuries.
The meeting also demanded immediate allotment of quarters to employees appointed under PM package living in private rented rooms and sharing quarters, granting of time bound promotions , giving benefit of SRO 43 of 1994 with all benefits of death compassionate appointment to the family of deceased, SRO 194 of 2020 should be revoked immediately for the overall benefit and welfare of PM package employee as it deprives the employees for full salary benefits
and revocation of biased transfer policy imposed on migrant employees and jobs should be freely transferable within the UT, appointment of Nodal Officer in the Valley to resolve timely grievances of Valley posted migrant employees.
The meeting extended full support to the migrant PM package employees demands. Those who spoken in meeting were R.C.Mahajan, Sunil Kumar Bhat, Susheel Chopra and others.
