KKHMS delegation calls on Special Secretary Relief

JAMMU, July 23: A delegation of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKHMS) led by its president, Ramesh Kumar Mahajan called on Special Secretary to Government, Department of Disaster Management , Relief and Rehabilitation here, today and submitted a memorandum highlighting the burning problems of the displaced people from Valley to him.
The delegation demanded enhancement of monthly cash relief, 40 percent permanent share in job reservation and creation of 35,000 new posts in various Central and UT Government departments in lieu of 25000 retired migrant employees, sanctioning of various loans schemes for migrants under PM package, immediate allotment of quarters to employees appointed under PM package living in private rented rooms and granting of time bound promotions and giving benefit of SRO 43 of 1994 with all benefits.
The delegation demanded that the site of proposed transit accommodation should be selected near the National Highway and these accommodations should be provided all basic amenities and revocation of SRO 194 of 2020 for migrant employees who have joined their duties on 17-6-2020 or after that as the SRO is itself full of contradictions as it deprives the employees of full salary benefits.
The delegation demanded that such orders which create confusion and are contradictory should be revoked immediately for the overall benefit and welfare of PM package employees. The delegation demanded minority status for Hindus of Kashmir and benefits of Central scholarships to their children with 50 seats be reserved in the professional colleges for them.
It also demanded release of compensation, insurance and ex-gratia in favour of all migrants who have suffered heavy losses in shape of their property during last 32 years of turmoil.
The other members of the delegation included R C Mahajan, Sunil Kumar Bhat, Susheel Chopra etc.
