KKKIMD’s audio CD released

JAMMU, June 14: MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Ajay Bharti released ‘Shreemad Bhagwad Gopinath Ashtotar Shatnam Stotram’ audio CD of Kalpana Kala Kendra Institute of Music and Dance (KKKIMD) in an impressive and well attended function at KL Saigal Hall, Abhinav Theatre, here today.
Ramesh Hangloo, Director Radio Shardha, Jammu was the guest of honour.
Organiser Virender Langoo and senior member of Kendra Anupurna Langoo were also present on the occasion.
The CD was released on the eve of 50th Mahanirvaan Diwas of Jagadguru Bhagwaan Gopinathji, falling on Zyesht Shukla Dyutei, tomorrow.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries amidst chanting of mantras.
One minute silence was observed on the occasion to condole the demise of Prithvi Nath Koul ‘Sayil’ who was the co-founder of Kalpana Kala Kendra, which was followed by rendition of Bhagwaanji’s Bhajan penned down by late poet Sayil by the duo of Sanjay Raina and Sushima Raina.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries with reverence highlighted the life and teachings of Jagadguru Gopinathji and appreciated the Kendra’s contributions to serve the society through the medium of music.
The CD has the voice of Sanjay Raina and Sushima Raina, while the chorus includes Baby Kamakshi, Bhagirathi, Sunita Bhat, Jyoti Raina, Pooja Bhat, Master Snaatan Raina, Amit Raina and Praful Dhar.
Virender Langoo presented vote of thanks while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Anita Sharma Langoo, Secretary of the Kendra.
