NEW DELHI, Jan 23: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Hyderabad and Kochi rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight availability of trucks against limited cargo movements.
Transporters said shortage of trucks in the markets mainy caused the rise in Kochi and Hyderabad freight rates.
Capital to Hyderabad and Kochi freight rates asked higher by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 52,000 and Rs 71,000.
Elsewhere, other centres freight rates hovered around overnight levels.
