JAMMU, Feb 29: State president of Shiv Sena Dimpy Kohli today strongly criticized PHE Department for imposing huge water tariff i.e Rs. 1400 per annum on people of Jammu.
In a meeting with Party leaders Dimpy Kohli along with general secretary G.I Singh, Sandeep Bhagat vice president, State secretary Raj Singh and Raj Kumar Raja said that this is a great injustice with people of Jammu as PHE is collecting huge amount of water tariff from Jammu province.
He said that few years back people of Jammu have to pay Rs. 360 per annum which is supposed to be the right amount but every year 20 percent increase is totally a wrong decision which was taken when Taj Mohi-ud-Din was PHE Minister.
He said that public cannot afford such heavy amount of water tariff . He said this is very unfortunate that successive regimes have not taken this matter seriously and PHE has looted the people of Jammu.
