Kotwal reviews ongoing activities for AIIMS project

Samba, July 27: Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education, Dr Pawan Kotwal reviewed progress achieved for establishment of AIIMS at Vijaypur in a meeting at the office of Deputy Commissioner Samba today.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sheetal Nanda, SSP Anil Magotra, ADC Tilak Raj Sharma, SDM Vijaypur Ravinder Sharma and officials from CPWD , PWD , PHE and Revenue Department.
The PWD officials informed that a road costing Rs 20 crore stands sanctioned for the project under CRF, work on which has already been started . The PHE officials informed that out of 04 tubewells envisaged under the AIIMS project, one has been successfully drilled and capped and work on another will begin shortly.
SDM Vijaypur informed that State land and forest land for the project has been diverted by the Government and the land acquisition for the private land is also at a very advanced stage.CPWD officials who were also present informed that the site survey for one part of the land stands conducted and boundary pillars have also been placed on the same.The site survey and boundary marking for the rest of the land will start soon.
Dr Kotwal directed all departments to work in a time bound manner for the prestigious project and also asked the Deputy Commissioner to closely monitor all works and also complete the land acquisition on high priority.Later , he also visited the site to take stock of the ongoing activities.
