Kashmir BJP holds meet

JAMMU, Nov 17: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir Displaced District held a meeting of corporators, councilors, Panches, Sarpanches and BDC members form Kashmir Valley here, today.
The meeting was chaired by Ashok Koul, general secretary (Org) BJP. Former MLCs Ajay Bharti and Surinder Ambardar also participated in the meeting. All the elected members discussed the working in their respective areas and also highlighted the problems being faced by them in Kashmir Valley which included security, accommodation etc. Ashok Koul, while congratulating the newly elected five BDC members from Valley asked them to work for betterment of people with honesty and dedication so that they can find the difference between BJP and other dynastic parties who worked for promotion of their family rule and amassing wealth over the years by misleading the people on cheap and catchy slogans.
Koul said with the dynamic and historic decision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah things have totally changed and people of the J&K as well as Ladakh UTs will now enjoy all benefits of democracy and the days of dynastic rule and promotion of families and relatives have ended now as the power will vest in the hands of common people of two UTs.
Koul said the elections to vacant posts of Panches and Sarpanches in the Valley will also be held soon. He also stressed on coordination between displaced district of the party and Kashmir Unit.
The programme was organized by district president Chand Ji Bhat who gave full details of elections to booths and Mandals of the displaced district. He also gave details of membership drive of the displaced district and said 10,000 new members were enrolled by the district with 122 prominent members.
The meeting among others was attended by T N Bhat , Virender Kuchroo, B L Saraf and Vijay Raina.
