JAMMU, Oct 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul today said Bhagwan Valmiki portrayed true inclusiveness and oneness of all human beings, a typical representation of ‘Bharatiya Samaj’ through all his teachings. His taught us the principles like ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam i.e. whole world is one family’, Samrasta, which forms the very basic and fundamental structure of ‘Bharatiya Samaj’.
Ashok Koul and Neelam Langeh, former MLA and president SC Morcha, J&K BJP flagged off Bhagwan Valmiki Shobha Yatra, today, from Valmiki Mandir, opposite Shri Ram Palace, Dogra Hall, here.
Ashok Koul, while speaking to the media on the occasion, said that the Prakashotsava of Bhagwan Valmiki will be celebrated by the whole Bharat especially Valmiki Samaj in a few days. He said that to mark the occasion, the Mandir Samiti while remembering the unparalleled works of Valmiki Ji for the society is taking out a Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Valmiki.
Koul shared that in Treta Yuga, Ramayana was composed by Bhagwan Valmiki Ji who was a great saint, a poet and intellectual. He was the one where Mata Sita took shelter during her exile. Maharishi Valmiki was the Guru of Luv and Kush.
Koul also hailed the decision of the Modi Government to abrogate the Article 370, which paved the way of inclusiveness of Valmiki Samaj into the mainstream and ending the long discrimination met out to them earlier.
Neelam Langeh, while remembering the works of Bhagwan Valmiki said that Adikavi Maharishi Valmiki was one of the noblest saints India has ever seen, who gave us the eternal gift in the form of our most revered epic, the Ramayana. He said that the Bhagwan Valmiki had said all are equal. Now the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi carried the same mission forward in his nine and half years Government. Let’s all pledge to imbibe his ideologies and teachings in our lives to walk on the path of social justice, harmony and equality, he added.
Vijay Anand Gill, Adrash Jathiar, Surinder Bhagat, Seema, Chaman Angral, Rajkumar, Raj Shivgotra, Hans Raj Loria, Mohinder, Rakesh Dev and Mandir Committee members Ajeet Gill, Love, Bharat Hans, Suresh Kumar, Jung Bhadur, Lucky Chida and others were amongst the prominent persons who participated in the Shobha Yatra.
