JAMMU, July 14: The Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released a book titled “Samajik Nyay Pakhwada” at the party Headquarter here, today.
J&K BJP general secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul along with former MLC & J&K BJP convener of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY), Ch. Vikram Randhawa and accompanied by J&K BJP PM-GKAY co-conveners, Hari Om Sharma and Shrey Sethi released the book.
Ashok Koul, while releasing the book “Samajik Nyay Pakhwada”, which contained pictographic representation of the works done by the BJP’s public representatives, lauded the efforts of BJP leaders in serving the society during the COVID marred period. He said that learning from previous pandemics, Modi initiated PMGKAY, so that nobody dies of hunger in India. He said that to ensure the same at ground level, BJP formed teams at the national and State level which have worked day and night to ensure the same.
He said that BJP leaders visited every ration depot and ensured that every needy person received free ration and also distributed free bags for carrying the ration.
Vikram Randhawa, elaborated that the book contains the works done by our public representatives (Panchayat to Parliament) regarding distribution of free ration under PMGKAY. He said that more than 5.5 lakh families are the direct beneficiaries in the UT. He said that the people are indebted towards the PM for extending the schemes up to 30 September 2022 in which eight crore people are benefitted.
He said that the scheme saved the poor people in the harsh time of COVID, but at the same time, the Modi Government extended the scheme beyond that period in order to further supplement the effort to provide more time to the needy families to regain their pre -COVID socio-economic position.
District conveners of PMJKAY district Jammu, Rajesh Gupta, co-conveners, Paramjit Singh, Sangeeta Anand, Mandal conveners Jyoti Prakash, Rachit Khosla and others were also present while releasing the book.
