JAMMU, Oct 8: Secretary, Cooperative Department RK Koul reviewed the ongoing construction work of the office building of Cooperative Department at Rajinder Nagar, Bantalab.
He directed the contractor of the building to complete the construction work before October 20 positively so that the building could be inaugurated well before reopening of offices on the eve of annual darbar move and rental offices of the Cooperative Department can be shifted there.
Secretary directed Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies, Jammu and Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Agri Jammu to take up the matter with the PDD and PHE Department for early restoration of water and electricity facilities in the said complex.
Koul also took a review meeting of ICDP, Kathua in which Additional Secretary Cooperative Societies Jammu and General Manager, ICDP Project were also present.
In the meeting, General Manager ICDP was directed to make recommendations of the Societies for availing financial benefits under ICDP Project so that the amount which is lying with the Registrar Cooperative Societies under ICDP Project could be released.
Secretary also undertook a tour of Reasi District and reviewed the functioning of the Cooperative Department.
Deputy registrar Cooperative Societies Agri Reasi presented a brief profile of cooperative societies in the district.
Secretary also visited Jyotipuram Cooperative Marketing Society Limited and reviewed the working of the society. He also visited Pouni block and directed the Incharge Assistant Registrar to work with zeal and dedication so that the cooperative movement can achieve new heights.
