JAMMU, May 7: BJP State general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, accompanied by Leh district president, Gonbo and BJYM district president, Tashi, today concluded his six-days tour of district Leh.
During this tour, Ashok Koul presided over working committee meetings of district Leh, Mandal meetings of Nobra, Diskit, Summor, Bogdan, Turtuk, Basgoo Saspol and Khaltsi, during which details related to the organizational set up and political activities were tabled by respective units.
The mode of disseminating knowledge and information about the various welfare schemes launched by Modi Government for the welfare of the different sections of the society in rural and urban areas were deliberated upon.
In this context the problems of the villages and the hamlets were discussed threadbare. The communication of the feedback about the problems, needs and execution of various schemes and how to convey the decisions and the required information response from the targeted rural people were also discussed. Many useful suggestions were received and took note of at these meetings.
Ashok Koul stressed upon the need to strengthen the party structure in these remote areas of Ladakh region and make it the instrument of bringing about social and economic transformation envisaged by the welfare schemes launched by Modi Government at the Centre as well as those undertaken by BJP coalition in the State.
He said that the party machinery must act as a fulcrum for upliftment of these regions. The welfare schemes are meant for all the people of the country and caste, colour, religion, region etc have no bearing on the universal applicability of these schemes, he added.
Ashok Koul, thereafter, left for Kargil to chair similar meetings and interact with the party activists and the local people.
