JAMMU, Apr 6: A meeting of the various Kashmiri Pandit organisations comprising of temples trusts, social organisations was held at Temple complex of Kheer Bhawani, Janipur, here, today in which Government move to interfere in temple and shrines affairs of Hindus was strongly opposed.
The participants of the meeting unanimously condemned the happenings on the auspicious day of Navreh at our presiding deity Shrine.
The members in the meetings resolved that the issue is being investigated by Kashmiri Pandit community, will be resolved amicably and truth placed before every one. Till then KP religious organisations appeal to all brethren to be calm, united.
The meeting also said the Kashmiri Pandit community is unanimous in rejecting any such Government moves to meddle in the affairs of the Shrine/Temple. In the same fashion our Bairav Mandir at Chatabal, Srinagar whose possession was taken by the Government some decades ago is not restored till date. In same fashion, Shrine/Temples assets at Gulmarg is not being restored by the Government and another property / temple complex in Rainawari where the encroachers are not evicted despite court orders.
Further a team of Kashmiri Pandits who will supervise the investigation and resolution process will be soon announced, the meeting said.
Those who were present in the meeting were Ravi Jogi, Amit Parimo, Ramesh Khuda of Zeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee, Vikram Koul and Roshan Lal of KP Volunteers, Upinder Handoo, CA, and B.L. Raina (GMPS), B.L. Jalali, Rakesh Hangloo, Surinder Koul of Rainawari Action Committee, Sanjay Dhar and Sharan Dhar of Sharika Foundation, MK Koul and Sunil Shangloo of ASKPC.
