KP delegation calls on RRC, highlights demands

Jammu, Dec 16: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits led by M.K. Yogi senior leader called on Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner, K.K. Sidha here, today to apprise him about the urgent genuine problems of Kashmir Pandits living in exile for last over 30 years and sought their early settlement.
KP leaders, M.K.Yogi, Vinod Pandita, Ashwani Bhat, Vishal Jotshi apprised Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner about the genuine problems being faced by the community on many fronts like increasing unemployment among educated migrant youth, construction of more residential quarters in Jammu for migrants, enhancement of monthly cash assistance, genuine problems of PM package employees, streamlining of regular supply of electricity in Jagti township forthwith, Macdamization of main road along with lanes of Jagti and other migrant camps, up gradation of Jagti playground with adequate and required infrastructure for playing all outdoor games, formation of time bound return and rehabilitation policy for migrants in Valley, implementation of Immovable Migrant Property Act, 1997 in letter and spirit.
M.K Yogi appealed the officer to take up the genuine problems discussed threadbare with the Government for early resolution. The officer after hearing the problems listed by the leaders in the meeting assured them that he would take up these genuine issues with the concerned authorities soon for their early resolution.
The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner also apprised the delegation about the various tangible and useful steps to be taken soon for the welfare and betterment of the community by the Government.
