KP delegation calls on RRC, highlights problems

JAMMU, June 27: Kashmiri Pandit delegation under the leadership of its senior leader M.K.Yogi accompanied by P L Swadeshi president of All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC) Migrants Dr Arvind Karwani here, today and submitted a memorandum with community related issues before him for their early amelioration.
In a press statement issued today jointly by Yogi and Swadeshi, said that the issues discussed and deliberated upon in the meeting were releasing two months ration quota, digitization of migrant records, speedy disposal of cases related to inclusion and bifurcation, expeditious amelioration of migrants applications through J&K Government Grievance Cell and adoption of a transparent system for updation of left out migrant voters in voter lists before Assembly Elections.
They appealed Relief Commissioner to address these pertinent issues forthwith in order to provide solace to the hapless displaced community.
Yogi appealed Relief Commissioner to issue orders for release of two months pending ration quota to all relief holders at every ration depot forthwith and also orders for providing ration on payment to migrant Government employees and pensioners which was a previous practice but was stopped for the reasons unknown.
Yogi also appealed to RC to issue left out ration quota for the month of March and April 2024 to those migrants who could not collect that so far despite approaching many times to the concerned office but in vain.
Swadeshi also suggested that Relief Commissioner need hold meetings with migrants in camps as well as in non-camps to help them in connecting with officers without any difficulties.
Relief Commissioner after a detailed discussion assured full cooperation. Others who were part of delegation were Opinder Lidhoo, Ashok Koul, A K Bhat, Shadi Lal Bhat, Satesh Raina, Arvind Koul, Shoki Lidhoo, Dazy Bazaz, Pankaj Sidha, Bal Krishan Bhat and Roshan Lal Bhat.
