JAMMU, Aug 28: A delegation of various KP organizations led by M K Yogi president NC Minority Cell called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner M L Raina and K K Sidha Deputy Commissioner here, today.
The delegation expressed concern over the issuance of day in and day out orders by the Relief Organisation asking the migrants to fill up the forms and attachment of Aadhar cards etc with them.
It said the migrants have already filled up Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) forms with all formalities and it is surprising that now we are asked to fill up the new forms. Yogi said 16,000 migrants already filled up their DBT Forms in their respective zonal offices and what is the fun of filling up of the forms repeatedly.
He further said that majority of migrants especially in camps have not been enrolled under Aadhar and many migrants have to make corrections in their names in ration cards and hence the Government should give more time to them in filling up DBT forms.
The delegation also raised the issue of not releasing the quota of sugar for last over one year especially in camps to displaced people saying that there is lot of resentment among the community on this account. It demanded hike in cash relief to Rs 20,000 per month.
The RRC informed the delegation that the 16,000 people who have filled up DBT forms need not to fill up new forms.
