KP delegation meets RRC, demands full arrangements for Adhik Mass

JAMMU, July 19: A deputation led by M K Yogi a senior Kashmiri Pandit leader along with other KP leaders called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, K K Sidha and submitted the memorandum for the arrangements for the auspicious month of Malmass i . e the Adik Mass (Purshotam Mass) which has started from July 18 and will culminate on August 16. As per the Hindu calandar this month is dedicated in the name of Shri Maha Marand (Mattan) Kashmir.
The delegation demanded that in this connection elaborate arrangements be made for the devotees attending and performing various rituals during the month. They also said that community is facing many hardships for survival because of high inflation of rates in the market and within Rs.13000/- normally a family of four to five members cannot pull on. The deputation demanded enhancement of the cash relief which is long-awaited demand of the relief holders.
Chuni Lal Kandi, T K Bhat of ASKPC and Dr Ramesh Bhat Navdal Tirath expressed the hope that Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, K K Sidha will take adequate steps in mitigating the sufferings of the community.
Another delegate led by Veer Ji Pandita showed confidence in the assurance given by RRC who assured that arrangements for safety and security of yatra and assured that the direct bus services from Jammu to Martand (Mattan) and back on weekly basis preferable on every week up to the culmination of yatra.
M K Yogi also urged the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, DC Anantnag and SSP Anantnag for smooth passage of yatra through this Malmaas Adhik Maas.
Other members of the delegation were Shadi Lal Kichloo, and Pankaj Sidha said that Relief Commissioner has taken various steps for betterment of the migrants and they have started yielding results.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner assured full cooperation and said that he will take up all related matters with respective departments.
