KP Ekta Manch discusses migrants’ issues

JAMMU, Dec 17: A meeting of All State Kashmiri Pandit Ekta Manch was held under the chairmanship of Chand Ji Khar in which the demands of the displaced people were highlighted.
Ashok Koul, Chandji Bhat, Vijay Kumar Saproo, Vijay Pandita Mahajan and other Executive members from different migrant camps were present in the meeting. It highlighted various issues confronting the displaced Pandits and urged the Government to solve the same on priority basis as the problem of the community is compounding day by day. The meeting demanded that problems of unemployment, rehabilitation back in Valley as per the aspirations of the community and release of compensation etc be settled on priority basis.
The meeting, however expressed their confidence over various steps taken by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner in settling the problems of the displaced people. While complimenting the RRC and its other staff, the meeting expressed the hope that the process for issuance of migration certificates will also be eased out so that the time of displaced youth in getting the certificates is saved.
