KP leader urges Govt to settle issues of package employees

SRINAGAR, June 22: Senior Kashmiri Pandit leader, M.K.Yogi conducted a detailed tour of all the transit camps in Kashmir Valley where migrant employees are putting up and held detailed meetings and confabulations with prominent representatives of PM package employees.
Yogi discussed their pertinent problems like accommodation, construction of boundary walls, setting up of dispensaries in all transit camps etc, children’s park, parking places, retail shops, prayer places, and other basic amenities in all transit camps. The package employees’ representatives in these camps appealed the senior leader to take up these important issues with LG administration and other concerned officers for their immediate redressal for sake of justice and equity.
Yogi later appealed Prime Minister, Home Minister and Lt.Governor J&K to get addressed the issues of accommodation of PM package employees forthwith because a big number of these employees especially women folk are putting up on rental basis for last more than ten years and they face lot of hardships and discomfort on this count.
Yogi has also appealed the Government to construct boundary walls in all transit camps forthwith for sake of the safety and security of the PM package employees.
He also appealed to complete the under construction quarters forthwith in order to alleviate the sufferings of PM package employees living on rental basis still for last more than ten years.
