KP leaders ask community to take leaf from Peshin’s life

JAMMU, Jan 10: Lauding his contribution to the community while paying homage to great social activist and reformer of Kashmiri Pandit Community, late Triloki Nath Peshin, Kashmiri Pandit leaders urged upon the youth to take a leaf from his life and contribute for the welfare of the community and the society.
The leaders spoke during a meeting organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha under the chairmanship of its president KK Khosa in the premises of the Sabha, here today.
The community members paid floral tributes to the leader on the occasion.
Mr Khosa recalled the long association for last about 50 years of the late T N Peshin with KP Sabha during which he held its office as president also.
He lauded Mr Peshin’s contribution to the community even at and above the age of 85 years and termed the leader as a true social reformer.
All India Kashmir Samaj leader, V K Kashkari, said that Mr Peshin’s services to Sanjeevani Shardha Kendra and his relentless efforts for socio-religious and cultural rejuvenation of displaced community are highly commendable.
Prof S K Shah recalled his contribution to various KP Organizations.
Chairman, Sanskar and senior KP Sabha leader, H N Tikoo and vice president All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, Tej Krishan Jigaysu said that Mr Peshin was a born social worker.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by S L Bagati, general secretary, KP Sabha.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion were J L Drabu, M K Jalali, Ashok Braroo, T K Moza, A K Raina, Subash Dhar, Prof Usha Tickoo, G J Kampasi, Ashok Khar, R L Koul, Subash Zutshi and Rajinder Tickoo.
