KP leaders for rehabilitation, settlement of other issues

JAMMU, Dec 15: An interactive session on problems being faced by displaced Pandits from Valley and their permanent rehabilitation was organized here today by JK Thinkers Forum led by Kuldeep Pandita.
The session was held under the chairmanship of Prof A N Sadhu, former Dean and HoD Economics University of Jammu.
During the interactive session the problems of displaced Pandits like their permanent rehabilitation in a time bound manner, hardships being faced by the community due to denial of RBA certificates, inclusion of newly married and newly born babies, deletion in ration cards and other related issues, constitution of parallel Apex Body to that of Government which can deliberate over the issues being faced by the displaced people putting up at Jammu and other places were deliberated by prominent KP leaders and social activists.
Comrade ML Raina highlighted the short term problems of the community like denial of RBA, inclusion and deletion in ration cards, availability of medical facility and portable drinking water etc demands that these issues be settled in a time bound manner. He stressed on launch of a protracted joint struggle for the same. VK Kashkari senior leader AIKS demanded minority status for Pandits and Rakesh Kaul of Samporan Kashmiri Sangthan stressed on launching of a door to door campaign.
H N Jattu president All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) alleged that present dispensation has not come to the expectations of the community and suggested that community should come on a united platform.
Ex MLC B L Bhat, N C Minority Cell president, M K Yogi, T N Pandita, P L Raina, B L Saraf (retd) Session Judge, R K Raina former president ASKPC and P N Pandita (retd) SP also attended the meeting.
Kuldeep Pandita said that shortly demonstration programmes will be announced to highlight the plight of displaced Pandits.
