KP representatives call on RC, submit memorandum

JAMMU, Oct 26: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits representing various organizations led by M K Yogi submitted a memorandum to Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R  K Pandita and demanded immediate revocation of order regarding issuance of ration coupons on monthly basis.
The delegation also submitted a memrandum to Relief Commissioner and sought immediate cancellation of the order in this regard as it has led a lot of resentment among the relief holders.
The delegation warned that the displaced people will come to streets in case the order was not revoked by the Government.
The delegation also demanded bifurcation of ration cards, inclusion of left over members in the ration cards, issuance of RBA certificates and other related problems of displaced people. The delegation also sought immediate intervention of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, Basharat Bukhari.
The other members of delegation included Kundan Kashmiri, T N Bhat, Roshan Lal Raina, A K Sadhu, Kashyap Tickoo, B K Bhat, Amit Kaul, Ravinder Raina, S L Dhar, Sham Lal Tickoo etc.
Meanwhile BJP Dispalced Unit general secretary Virender Kuchroo has urged the Relief and Rehabilitation Minister to look into the issue and see the problem from human angle. A community living in exile for 26 years was expecting a better treatment from present dispensation, he added.
