JAMMU, June 24: A prize distribution function was organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, (KPS) Ambphalla, Jammu for the meritorious students of the today.
The function was presided by Sabha president K. K. Khosa and the MLCs Surinder Ambardar and G. L. Raina (Ajay Bharti) were as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
The welcome address was given by Sabha general secretary S. L. Bagati. He said that the community will be benefitted by their presence in the legislature. Later K. K. Khosa highlighted the major problems of displaced people needing attention of the Government.
He said that Government is blind to the problems of displaced Jagti inmates, non camp displaced and other weaker sections. He appealed to MLC to use their influence for covering displaced under medical insurance as stress related diseases are taking a heavy toll of community. He also lauded the hardwork done by meritorious students of the community and wished them all the best.
On the occasion Khosa honoured the MLC by presenting then a memento and a shawl on behalf of Sabha.
While complimenting the Sabha for love and honor Surinder Ambardar assured his best efforts for the welfare of his community. He said that he will always keep doors open for biradari help, 24 hours a day.
Adv. Ravinder Raina president ASKPC blessed the students and asked them to excel in their studies.
Ajay Bharti said that he was well aware of the Sabha services for community since 1990 and lauded the efforts of KPS for its commendable efforts. He said that all problems pertaining to Relief camp office may be mailed to him so that he can take up with the Commissioner.
Later meritorious students namely Nitin Mussa, Shallin Kaul, Ayushman Bhan, Ayush Pandita, Yatish Koul, Suhasini Malla, Sukanya Wattal, Nitin Pandita, Akash Raina, Bhvika Zutshi, Ritika Koul, Prateek Labroo, Sahil Koul, Vidushi Bindroo, Diksha Wali, Anmol Ganjoo, Aayush Bangroo, Sakshi Pandita, Ashish Ganjoo, Vishak Bhat were given cash prize, trophies and certificates.
On this occasion 15 students from weaker sections were given scholarship cheques by the Guests. These cheques have been donated by Kashmiri Pandit Education Trust.
