KP Sabha honours meritorious students of Class 12

JAMMU, June 11: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Ambphalla organized a function to present awards to the brilliant students of displaced Pandit Community of Class 12th 2016 batch. The function was presided over by K. K. Khosa while Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor Central University Jammu graced the occasion by his presence as chief guest .
General secretary K. P. Sabha S. L. Bagati read the welcome address and highlighted the activities of KP Sabha and its role in Social transformation.
K. K. Khosa president K P Sabha exhorted the students to work hard in their new fields to brighten their future. He advised the students to be close to their roots and participate in the civil service examinations as to be the part and parcel of their motherland. He advised the students and the parents to take advantage of the new initiatives that have been launched by the Government of India like the start up programme etc, where the youth can start their own ventures instead of seeking employment.
He assured the community students for help. He said that large number of desiring students especially from weaker sections are being helped by Sabha and shall continue in future also.
In all there were 21 students who were felicitated by giving cash prizes, mementoes and certificates of merits.
The chief guest Prof. Ashok Aima asked the students, the precedence that the community students have been showing in excellence in studies should be maintained. Prof. Aima advocated for educational counseling of students in order to choose a right course befitting their temperament and market requirements. H. N. Tiku also spoke on Kashmiri culture and language.
The students who were presented awards included Vasundhra Pandita, Osheen Tickoo, Ritik Koul, Sanjeev Peshin, Aayush Bhat, Shilpa Koul, Tushar Raina, Sulekha Bhat, Sandhya Bakshi, Akash Tickoo, Amisha Pandit, Ritesh, Akshay Thusoo, Aaryan Suri, Megha Bhat, Sahil Raina, Kapil Pandit Razdan, Sakshi Dhar, Retika Pandit, Vinaik Bhat, Rashi Pandita, Sahil Raina
KP Sabha Sr. vice-president A. K. Braroo cautioned the students not to get carried away in new social environment and remain engrossed with roots of our own culture. He also requested the parents present in the function to imbibe the Sanskar’s to their children so as the culture ethos of the K P Community is preserved. Later he presented the vote of thanks.
