JAMMU, May 19:Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC) reiterated its resolve to support genuine demands of PM package and other Kashmir Pandit employees posted in Valley.
In a statement issued here, today the KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri said no doubt Kashmir administration has instructed its officers to resolve the service-related matters of PM package employees and decided that they will be posted on district Headquarters or near colonies and not in remote areas and also the Government is contemplating to give final shape to the issues of these employees but these simple measures will not give safety to their life as late Rahul Bhat was posted in a safe area ,still he has been killed while working in office and gun yielding youth freely and easily left the place. Same happened at wine shop Baramulla where one Hindu employee was killed and three were injured in terrorist attack.
He said Government needs to do much more in this regard, to contain the divisive elements and it has to come up with a fool proof security strategy to ensure the safety of the minority Hindu community in the Valley and not allow the killings of human beings. This dangerous trend needs to be put to an end.
He also demanded that till the community is permanently resettled after carving out a separate State in Valley the package as well as other KP employees serving in Kashmir be posted outside the Valley.
