KPC endorses Shah’s reference of Kashmir’s connection with Kashyap

JAMMU, Jan 5: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today termed the recent statement of Union Home Minister, Amit Shah’s recognition of Kashmir’s ancient Vedic Legacy, linking Kashmir with Kashyap a great development.
KPC, president, Kundan Kashmiri and its other leaders said the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah deserves credit for his acknowledgment of Kashmir’s ancient Vedic heritage during the inauguration of the profound historical work “Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Through Ages” authored by the historian Ragvendra Tanwar. “Shah’s reference to Kashmir’s connection with sage Kashyap and its deep-rooted Hindu-Buddhist legacy reflects a long-overdue recognition of the region’s spiritual and civilizational significance as a torchbearer of India’s timeless cultural values”, the statement said.
Kundan Kashmiri, along with vice president, M.K. Raina , Dr. H.L. Saraf, Tej Pandita, Susheel Bhat , R.K. Raina , Suraj Wali, and other leaders, and activists extend their profound appreciation to Ragvendra Tanwar for his exceptional contribution in documenting Kashmir’s glorious past. “His extensive research and presentation of the historical role of Kashmiri Hindus, Buddhists, ancient temples, scholars, saints, sages, and vibrant trade practices serve as an enlightening and much-needed narrative, correcting years of historical distortions” they said.
“This masterpiece stands as a beacon of truth, shedding light on the invaluable contributions of Hindu and Buddhist thought leaders, spiritual wisdom, and Kashmir’s profound cultural influence on the Indian civilization”, they added.
