NEW DELHI, Dec 19:  Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has demanded three constituencies in exile till the rehabilitation of the community in a separate State to be carved out within Valley with free flow of Indian Constitution.
The KPC, which met here today under the leadership of its president Kundan Kashmiri said that it has sent a representation to Chief Election Commission of India and the delegation of the organization will also meet him soon in this regard.
The meeting, while accusing the State and Central Governments of depriving the displaced Pandits of their basic and constitutional rights said the community has no option but to remain untied and fight for its constitutional and basic rights.
KPC rejected the contentions of State and Central Governments which termed the mass exodus of Pandits as a result of an economic and law and order problem in Kashmir and strongly advocated for declaring the KPs as internally displaced people. It termed the PM’s package as a forced measure aimed at negating the genocide of the community.
Kashmiri demanded that the benefits of the PM’s package be given to community at their present locations where the community is putting up temporary till carving out of a separate State within Valley.
He also warned the Government not to reach any out of box solution after entertaining an idea or formula with separatists or others who want to take Kashmir away from nation as such act will prove a Himalayan blunder.
