KPC reiterates one place settlement demand

JAMMU, Nov 19: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has urged the Lt. Governor J&K Girish Chandra Murmu to ensure one place settlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits who are leading an exiled life outside their motherland for last 30 years.
In a communiqué KPC apprised Lt. Governor about the grave sufferings, pain and turbulence of exiled KP community as well as overwhelming sentiments and sensitivities with regard to restoration of their pristine glory, upholding their pride, dignity and unique identity.
The KPC also stressed on earnest priority in respect of one place settlement with Constitutional and institutional guarantees for the community in Kashmir valley.
Kundan Kashmiri president, KPC appealed LG to bring some sort of relief in the turbulence of Kashmiri Pandits which has suffered for last the 70 years and hold judicial probe in genocide of KPs. He demanded action against those who killed cream of the community, protection under law to temples and shrines, nullification of KPs distress sale, rehabilitation of over aged youth, special employment quota in all Central departments for KP youth,, comprehensive medical facilities, adjustment of female PM package employees of Valley in Jammu zone and settlement of other issues.
KPC further said that the unprecedented situation calls for extra-ordinary measures to end the feeling of alienation among the victims of terrorism and get situation analyzed on the ground reality and take corrective measures and give justice to the victim exiled KP community.
He also demanded that prominent and grass root representatives of the community be invited for talks to find an everlasting solution to KPs problems.
