NEW DELHI, June 12:  In its Core Committee meeting Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) here, today Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani was taken to task for opposing separate settlements for Kashmiri Pandits in Valley.
Mr Kashmiri while commenting on Geelani’s statement said that Pandits settlement was not possible without a concentrated place in the Valley and going to their original inhabitations was not possible without the abrogation of Article 370.
He stated that KPs never negated return to their birth  land in Kashmir valley to” live together as a community “as  true citizen of India, with free flow of Indian constitution, as Kashmir belongs to them along with other sections of the Kashmiri  society. But cosmetic arrangements for their rehabilitation in Kashmir valley in Twin city, Townships or settlement in clusters etc. without taking in consideration the prevailing geo-political and historical facts in view will be neither in the interest of Displaced Kashmiri Pandits nor in the interest of nation.
Kundan Kashmiri further said that under  prevailing circumstances these Displaced Kashmiri Hindus who were representing Indian ethos in Kashmir and became frequently worst victim in the past at the hands of the forces inimical to their existence, needs to be sincerely rehabilitated in Kashmir Valley as a strong Indian nationalists after abrogation of Article 370 from the State and also Government should declare that the Indian part of Kashmir is a settled issue which would never be debated and discussed in any forum at national and International level which mainly include Pakistan, Hurriyat and other separatists.
Kashmiri further stated that before shaping the return formula for displaced KP’s by the Government of India and an exercise  be started for abrogation of Article 370 ,there is also an urgent need for taking some important Confidence building measures to make the KPs return possible to the Valley.
