JAMMU, Apr 13: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) expressed concern over delay in releasing of cash relief for the month of March to relief holders who have no means of sustenance and survival other than the cash doles provided by Government.
In a statement issued here, today president of KPC, Kundan Kashmiri said it is very difficult for them to feed their families and to meet the important day to day expenses, which include medicines and other essentials items for survival. Lot of families in camps and non–camps are facing hardships who need door to door supply of ration, gas cylinders and other eatables, he added.
While communicating Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Jammu, in this regard who clarified that his organisation has submitted the bills to respective bank branches well in time after getting the invoices from all zonal officers and camp commandants but unfortunately the NPCI the apex authority through which all the DBT payments are routed was off from some days which is Headquartered at Mumbai and relief authorities are pursuing the matter.
Kashmiri appealed the higher authorities including Lt. Governor JK to intervene in to this issue and get cash assistance of relief holders released for the month of March as well as of April,2020. He also request for fumigation and sensitization of the migrant camps in Jammu.
