JAMMU, Dec 25: The Temples and Shrines Prabandhak Committee, Tral, Awantipura celebrated Mahakali Jayanti at Muthi with enthusiasm.
A Hawan was also organised on this occasion and a good number of devotees from Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community including prominent personalities of KP socio-political organisations and others also participated in the function and prayed to the Goddess for universal peace and prosperity.
On this occasion P.L Bhat, president of the Committee expressed concern regarding the poor condition of shrines and temples of KPs left in Kashmir after migration of Hindus from there and urged the government to assist in restoration and reconstruction of these religious places.
