KPs condemn attack on Mata Tripursundri temple

JAMMU, July 4: More KP organizations have strongly condemned the attack on Hindu Shrine of Mata Tripursundri at village Devsar in South Kashmir district of Kulgam by the fundamentalists anti national elements.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri and ADKUF chairman D.N Kissu while expressing their concern and anger over the incident, stated that such incidents directly shows the malicious intention and attitude as well as religious intolerance of fundamentalists and anti-Hindu elements of Kashmir valley, who cosmetically cry that Kashmir is incomplete with out Kashmiri Hindus.
They said such incidents, no doubt, hurt the religious sentiments of Kashmiri Hindu community, but at large defame the majority Muslim community of Kashmir and exposes separatists and their masters across. They further stated that State Government and its administration has totally failed to protect the Kashmiri Hindus religious places and its property before and even after their forced exodus from the Valley. Kundan Kashmiri said that it is not for the first time, but even earlier also when gold and other items were stolen from Durga Nag temple, Srinagar, besides, Shiv temple Lakripura, Anantnag, Ragniya temple Badipura, Badgam and others were desecrated.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri and D.N. Kissu demanded that fool proof security arrangements under the cover of para-military forces to be provided to all shrines and temples in the Valley.
All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) while expressing deep anguish over the theft in Mata Tripursundri temple in Devsar Kulgam has demanded adequate and effective protection of all religious and revered shrines of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley without fail.
Presiding over an emergency meeting of the Executive Body of ASKPC here today to deliberate upon the Devsar incident, advocate Ravinder Raina president ASKPCV accused the successive Governments of utter failure in protecting the temples in Valley from vandalism and encroachments by anti social elements who are bent upon in obliterating the KP places of faith and worship.
ASKPC has pointed out to the State Government that incidents similar to Devsar and also the illegal encroachments and sale of land and property attached to Hindu shrines in the Valley over the last two decades, does not augur well for the proposed return of Kashmir Pandits to Valley. Mr Raina said KPs are demanding passage of temples bill for the sole reason of protecting Hindu shrines from unscrupulous elements.
Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) chief advocate M L Thusu and its convener P L Koul Badgami have also expressed their serious concern over the repeated attacks on Hindu shrines in Valley and urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to issue strict instructions to the administration to ensure safety and security of Hindu shrines in Valley.
The two KP leaders demanded that the CRPF pickets be established in front of all Hindu shrines so that there is no tress-passing and no desecration of any shrine takes place in future as such acts are inimical to return of peace.
