JAMMU, May 12: A meeting to review the latest position and progress regarding coming Zesht Ashtami festival within Ksheer Bhawani Tulmulla, Manzgam,Khanbarni Devsar, Tikker and Logripora was chaired by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir in which all District Development Commissioners of Kashmir and management heads of various organisations managing Hindu shrines in Valley led by Kiran Wattal convenor Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji yatra Welfare Society participated.
The issues deliberated included repairs and renovation of 50 point lavatory block on back of Temple, repairing – cleaning of ladies bathing ghat, repairs , installing of water 2HP pumps, temporary vacation of building used by Nagdandi Ashram for storing materials , housing lady Karykartas/senior citizens / service crew, restoring of flood lights , water connections, accommodation for Yatris, face lifting of temple structure, Yegh Shalla, Living hall for yatris, sanitation and medical care within temple premises.
Kiran Wattal complimented the District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal for action on war footing assuring that all facilities shall be ready in all respects within next 12 days & the works shall start from tomorrow only. B.L.Bhat, Chairman , SRMA – VK, Nagdandi cleared that Ashram Management is geared up to serve around 20,000 devotees during its Bhandara Programme from May 26 May 30.
Kuldeep Raina, president , Manzgam pressed for immediate adequate water supply to Ashthapan, arrangement and supply of blankets for yatris and sanitation arrangements through Kulgam Municipality. Presidant, Tripur Sundri Khanbarni Devsar wanted adequate water supply and uninterrupted electric supply for Asthapan , timely supply of gas and other essential services and adequate security for yatris. Relief Commissioner informed that three buses with 19 seats and truck stands allotted to Advance Bhandara Nagdandi party and for other Asthapana also buses as per requirements shall be provided in full. President Tikker Asthapan, Ramesh Trakru stressed for adequate security, health care, water – power supply , sanitation and fire services for the Asthapan. Dr Ramesh Bhat requested for provision of tents and other essentials for participants in the Zesht Ashtami Hawan at Logripora.
Divisional Commissioner advised all District Development Commissioners to ensure that all arrangements are complete at earliest so that the yatris do not face problems on any account.
