KPs not only relief holders from Valley: ASKPC

JAMMU, Nov 20: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has taken serious exception to the statements made by the Government from time to time regarding relief given to Kashmiri Pandits.
In a statement issued here, today, Advocate Ravinder Raina said that only Kashmiri Pandits are not the relief holders from Valley who were forced to flee from there on gun point. He said the other communities from Kashmir also take the relief benefits and in case it is not so then a CBI probe be made where this amount goes.
Mr Raina said that by making oft repeated statements from the Government side that the relief is given to Kashmiri Pandits is not correct as the people from other communities including a big chunk of Muslims and Sikhs from Valley are also getting the relief.
He said ASKPC fails to understand why the name of Pandits is always dragged as relief holders while the matter of fact is that large number of Muslims even putting up in Valley are getting the relief benefits at Jammu as well as in Valley and for them separate relief counters have been opened in Kashmir.
Mr Raina said that in future the label should not be attached to KPs as relief holders but members of other communities be also included in the same.
