JAMMU, Aug 14,: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) has leveled serious allegations on the J&K UT administration of sabotaging the return of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) to Valley alleging some vested interests in the top echelons of J&K UT administration were specifically targeting PM Package employees and harassing them in different ways.
In a hard-hitting statement APMCC leaders King C Bhartai, and national spokesperson and Arun Kandroo, general secretary have said that GoI was being mislead by certain top bureaucrats of the JKUT on the issue of KPs return and a narrative against KPs was being created adding the consequences would not be good if KPs remain neglected by the Narendra Modi Government.
Bharati, said that there was a caucus in JKUT led by some top bureaucrats who were misleading the Government and creating a false narrative only to sabotage the dream of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to rehabilitate the exiled Kashmiri Pandit community in Valley.
Asking who was sitting on the files of Kashmiri Pandits in the top echelons of the secretariat Bharati said that they have documentary proof that projects that were approved by the Union Cabinet in 2015 are yet to be initiated so much so that the cost of a one BHK flat for KPs which was estimated at Rs 12 lakh in 2015 has risen to Rs 30 lakh in 2020 and still JKUT Government was delaying the projects on the one or the other pretext.
Bharati said that JKSSRB was also deliberately dragging its feet on the employment of KPs in Valley despite the fact that a proposal for additional 3000 posts to be funded by the GoI stands already approved while the JKUT Govt has Rs 200 crore in its kitty to purchase land for accommodation but still the amount was not being spent and instead JKUT Government was searching for Kah-Charai land which was free.
Why is JKUT Government was not purchasing the land and depends of transfer of land by other departments when it has Rs 200 crores earmarked for the same by union cabinet in 2015, questioned Arun Kandroo,.
The APMCC leaders warned the Government that KPs cannot be taken for granted for ever and sought direct intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister, Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha in the matter.
