SRINAGAR, Mar 25: The Kashmiri Pandit Sangrash Samiti (KPSS) has expressed its deep anguish and dismay over the apathy of the authorities and political marginalisation faced by the non migrant Kashmiri Pandits/ Kashmiri Hindus who despite braving all odds decided not to leave Valley during last over three decades of political turmoil.
In a statement issued here, today, it said for over a decade, KPSS has submitted a countless communications to the concerned authorities, urging the drafting and implementation of a comprehensive rehabilitation policy that includes the non migrant Kashmiri Pandit community. The statement further said that while the Central Government in December 2014 extended partial benefits of the rehabilitation policy to the community , such as implementation of PM’s employment package and provision of accommodation -the local leadership, particularly from the migrant Kashmiri cadre within the ruling party actively sabotaged its implementation.
The KPSS said now when the elected Government is once again in place in J&K, it is hoped that it will represent all sections of society including non migrant Kashmiri Pandits/ Hindus and ensure justice to them.
