JAMMU, Aug 4: Kashmiri Pandit Volunteers (KPV) today launched KP Volunteers Blood Donors Group at the Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Bhori, near here. On the occasion, the first blood donation was made by Deepak Bhan at GMC Jammu for one patient namely Abdul Aziz Bhat admitted at the Super Specialty Hospital Jammu.
The dignitaries who were present during launch were Dr Susheel Wattal, Ashok Bhat, Dr T K Bhat, Kuldeep Raina, Dr T K Moza, Satish Bhat and Jai Krishan Raina. During the launch, KPV again deliberated upon the need of offering social service beyond the barriers of religion, caste, color and creed. The phenomenal selfless social work of the KPV during the COVID-19 pandemic was also applauded by the dignitaries present.
Deepak Bhan, the first blood donor of KPV and Vikram Koul, the founder of KPV were honoured with shawls by Dr. Susheel Wattal. The front liners of the KPV present on the occasion were Bimal Jee, Neelam Koul , Deepak Koul , Sandeep Tickoo , Ramesh Koul , Ashutosh Pandit , Seth Jee, Ashok Raina , Varinder Bhat , Dimple and Ayush Raina. All the front liners of the KPV were also honoured on the occasion. The function was concluded with chanting of Panchastavi and vote of thanks was proposed by Vikram Koul.
