JAMMU, June 13: KR Suri took over the charge of General Manager (Operation and Maintenance), Northern Region Transmission System-II of Powergrid.
KR Suri will be responsible for Operation and Maintenance of transmission system in J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory Chandigarh.
KR Suri is a graduate electrical Engineer, a competent professional with over 32 years of rich experience in project management, execution, construction, operation and maintenance in power sector. He also played a vital role in diversification of Powergrid into Telecom.
KR Suri has served NTPC before joining Powergrid. He was also looking after the prestigious Punjab consultancy project worth Rs 8000 crore associated with Talwandi Sabo Project of Punjab under which four new sub-stations namely 400/220 KV Dhuri, Muktsar, Nakador and Makhu along with Bay extensions at Moga and Amritsar are being established. Further six transmissions line segments associated with this project are also being executed.
