KARGIL, Jan 1: A review meeting-cum-awareness programme was organized by Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) here today under the chairmanship of Haji Asgar Ali Karbalie Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil.
Nearly 120 people participated in the programme who consisted of Councilors, District officers, Sarpanchs, Panchs and senior citizens.
The aim of the programme was to impart awareness regarding renewable energy among the public. During the session potentiality of renewable energy and its implementation in district was highlighted.
The participants were informed about various schemes of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, GoI, like Solar, Hydro, Wind and Solar Thermal projects. Sanctioned schemes of the Ministry which are under implementation of KREDA were discussed.
Till date progress of the schemes and future vision of KREDA alongwith photographs were presented through a power point presentation.
On the occasion, suggestions and feedbacks from various participants were received.
