JAMMU, Dec 15: Kashmiri writers and artists paid rich tributes to Krishna Joo Razdan a spiritual saint and Bhakti poet on his Nirvan diwas today.
In this connection Kashmiri Art Literature and Music Club (KALAM Club) Jammu organised a function in collaboration with Naegrai Literary Forum Jammu at Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra, Anand Nagar Bohri, here.
Aadil Tibatbaqal, grand son of Ustad Mohd. Abdulla Tibatbaqal performed and presented some Lilas on Santoor.
Shanti Lal Sidha also presented a Leela on the occasion.
Makhan Lal Pandita, Prem Nath Shad and Ashok Gowhar presented papers on different aspects of Razdan’s Bhakti poetry. Piaray Sudesh highlighted the significance of Bhakti poetry in today’s world. Chaman Lal Razdan great grand son of Krishna Joo Razdan threw light on the poems of legendary poet.
Brij Nath Betab and Aseer Kishtwsri president and chief patron of KALAM Club respectively while paying tributes to poet Razdan said that the Club will organise programmes in all parts of the State with a purpose to highlight the contribution of all great men towards propagation of high human values.
Mementos were presented to Adil Tibatbaqal on the occasion while Late Som Nath Bhat Veer (was presented the memnto posthomsly) .Veer was the first to compile a huge collection of Krishna Joo Razdan . Later a Bhakti Mushaira was conducted in which many poets presented their devotional poems.
