JAMMU, Dec 15: Kashmir Sikh Sangat (KSS) organised a medical check up and health awareness camp at Bye Pass Narwal here today.
The camp was attended by around 180 female and male patients belonging to different communities.
The camp was conducted by Dr Dhanwant Singh and Retd Major Surinder Kour.
The patients were made aware of various diseases including diabetes, hypertension and other common ailments.
Free medicines, which were given to the patients’, were sponsored by Ethicare Laboratories and Sinsan Pharmaceuticals. On spot tests for blood sugar and blood pressure were also conducted.
Harvinder Singh, Surinderpal Singh and Pardeep Kour assisted in the clinical tests.
While speaking, Manjit Singh, president, KSS showed his displeasure over the Government’s negligence on the issue of minority status to the Sikh community.
Among others present were Babu Singh, JB Singh, Jagjit Singh, Karamjit Singh, Balbir Singh, Teeraj Singh, KN Singh, TP Singh and KN Singh.
