Kochi, May 6 : Kerala Startup Mission is organizing a Conclave and Technology Expo near Aluva next Wednesday, featuring sessions on technology transfer as well as KSUM grants and funds, while also showcasing commercially-viable technologies from leading research and development institutions in the state.
The May 10 event at KMEA Engineering College in Edathala, 30 km north of the city, is being held on the eve of the National Technology Day, a release said.
The conclave aims to give startups and aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to see state-of-the-art technologies and interact with scientists from R&D institutions. Also, there will be an exhibition of marketable technological knowhow developed by research institutions in Kerala.

KSUM has a technology transfer scheme that financially supports startups and entrepreneurs who buy technologies from research institutions and develop them into marketable products.
Startups will be eligible for a grant up to Rs 10 lakh on a reimbursement basis if they develop marketable products under KSUM’s Technology Transfer Scheme in collaboration with government-recognized research institutions or succeed in securing licence.
KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
