Srinagar, Aug 2: Callous it may be, but the question paper setter who was tasked to set the question paper for the MSc Botany Entrance exam has allegedly copy-pasted questions from outdated question papers, prompting the Kashmir University authorities to cancel the paper.
The grievance about the same was brought to the notice of the University authorities by the students who appeared in the entrance test alleging that the questions were a pure copy-paste from previous outdated question papers with few questions having more than one correct answer.
The students had sought that the paper is declared null and void, at the same time demanding action against the person who was tasked with the assignment of setting the paper.
In this regard, the University has issued a fresh notification with regard to the conduct of the paper afresh.
