KU rolls back fee hike decision

Srinagar, May 16: Providing a breather to the students, the Kashmir University rolled back its ‘threefold fee hike’ decision which had evoked protests by students of SSM Engineering College.
The Varsity has issued revised fee structure wherein every B. Tech and BE students have to pay an amount of rupees 60 per credit up to a minimum of rupees 1050. Plus they have to also pay additional rupees 350 as examination, infrastructure, maintenance and development fund fee.
Pertinently, the students on Thursday were asked to pay an amount of Rs. 3375 as examination fee which was three times than what they actually used to deposit.
