KU VC assures support to GMC of Education for academic growth

JAMMU, Apr 14: University of Kashmir today assured Gandhi Memorial College of Education Jammu best possible help for its development on academic front.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Khursheed Iqbal Andrabi, accompanied by Dean Colleges Development Council Prof G.Mustafa Shah and Assistant Registrar Dr M.A.Dobhi, said that he was honoured with the special gesture shown by the College Management & Staff. “This is for the first time during my tenure as Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir, that I have seen one of the finest colleges. Regarding your needs I assure best possible help from our end”, he added. The Vice Chancellor was speaking at a felicitation function organised by G.M.C.E. J at college premises at Raipur Bantalab this morning.
Dr Andrabi along with the President of HESK Mr B.L.Razdan also inaugurated an additional Block in the College Campus. Prof Andrabi along with Prof G. M.Shah and other officials of K.U along with E.B members of HESK released Annual College Magazine “Sangarmal” and also inaugurated Photo exhibition of Mass Communication & Multi Media Department on this occasion.
Prof Shah, who also spoke on the occasion, expressed his satisfaction with regard to new courses launched by G.M.C.E.J and assured that the University would provide all possible assistance for approval of more courses to the college for coming session.
Earlier, the Member Education (HESK) Prof B.L.Zutshi read his welcome address.
Ashwani Kumar, a life member of the HESK, was also felicitated on the occasion for being elected as president of Jammu Press Club recently.
The general secretary of HESK A.K.Raina propsoed vote of thanks.
