Kud shopkeepers observe shut down against power cuts

UDHAMPUR, Jan 24: Up in arms against frequent and unscheduled power cuts, shopkeepers of Kud observed a complete shut down today.
The agitating shopkeepers kept shutters of their business establishment closed for more than five hours and also held a protest demonstration. They raised slogans against the Power Development for unscheduled power cuts and threatened to block the National Highway if no action is taken to address their grievance.
The protesting shopkeepers rued that frequent power cuts, particularly during the evening hours were severely affecting their business besides posing a security threat.
