KATHUA, Nov 24: Kuka Chak village in tehsil and district Kathua has plunged into darkness for last one and half month after the local transformer in the area developing a snag.
According to the residents of the area the PDD authorities failed to look into the problems despite the repeated pleas and during this period eight transformers were installed in the village but no one worked for over 24 hours.
The residents of the area also took up the issue with MLA Kathua and he brought the matter in the notice of the concerned PDD authorities also but to no avail.
The inhabitants of the area alleged that the authorities were dependent on the report of lineman and have failed to send any engineer to the spot to find the reason that led to burning down of transformers.
