Kuldeep demands development of remote Dhar Gaddian area

UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: A meeting of All J&K Gaddi Sabha was held here today under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Kumar, youth president of the Sabha at far flung Dhar Gaddian area which is fully inhabited by the tribal Gaddi people.
In the meeting Dhar Gaddian residents highlighted their problems and demanded upliftment of tribal people.
They said that despite several initiatives taken by the Government of J&K, Dhar Gaddian area has not seen any development in the field of education and there is very poor network for telephone connectivity also.
They also demanded that the area should be brought on tourism map as it has large tourism potential but lacks facilities like tourism huts, good roads etc.
Speaking on the occasion Kuldeep Kumar requested the LG administration to intervene into the matter so that this far flung area may get some basic facilities and the poor tribal people may heave a sigh of relief.
He urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of J&K UT for instructing the departments concerned for good road facility, Kendriya Vidyalaya and mobile towers in Dhar Gaddian area.
He also said that the LG should personally intervene in bringing this area in tourism map. The programme was organised by Hans Raj, senior member of the Sabha.
Yash Paul, Sarpanch Satyalta also spoke in the meeting.
In the end a Committee of 12 members was constituted comprising Parshotam Singh, Jia Lal, Pankaj Kumar, Karan Singh, Onkar Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mukhtyar Singh, Pardeep Singh, Roshan Lal, Bal, Kaka Ram, Romal Singh and Baldev.
The meeting was attended by Gian Chand, Bhushan, Satpaul, Rohit Kumar, Dwarka Nath, Hans Raj, Dev Raj, Naseeb Chand, Mohar Singh, Inder Singh and Subash Singh.
